I've finally figured out the best way to describe the way Number Two talks: he sounds like the love child of Scooby-Doo and the Swedish Chef. Any translators out there?
I don't speak Rrrredish, I'm afraid. However, I do take care of an 18 month-old who is also reluctant to speak in English, but gurgles and squawks like nobody's business. He understands absolutely everything anyone says to him, so I'm not worried one bit. If it's any consolation to you, many many many late speaking babies have turned out to be GENIUSES in science and mathematics. My late hero, Richard Feynman, is one of those - I believe he refused to utter any English words until the ripe old age of 3!
